Fresh: an unsettling reminder that, more often than not, it is not overly clever traps but rather people who kill people.

Any docu-drama about the life of serial killer John Christie should be dark and disturbing, 10 Rillington Place does not disappoint.

disturbing true story of british serial killer john christie, eerily portrayed by richard attenborough. a fine performance by a young john hurt as well. tragic storyline, genuinely creepy atmosphere, and makes a great case against capital punishment. well done.

A creepy and distrubing true-life thriller that really hits home the horror of the events. The performances are all fantastic, especially Richard Attenborough and John Hurt, and although the pacing is dodgy in places the film is definitely gripping. It has it's flaws, but the director expresses unmistakable talent - camera angles, interaction between characters and emphasis on light and shadow, to name a few - and with the help of the cast, create an authentic and chilling re-imagining.
