Top Critic Reviews

Fresh: The vehicular action in 2 Fast is profoundly low-tech, and engagingly brawny.

- Alex Pappademas, Village Voice, Tuesday, June 10, 2003

Fresh: Even if you resist recklessness, these car catharses surge with noise, energy and adrenaline.

- Bruce Westbrook, Houston Chronicle, Friday, June 6, 2003

Fresh: Nothing says summer film fun like explosions, guns and cartwheeling cars -- and that's all here.

- C.W. Nevius, San Francisco Chronicle, Friday, June 6, 2003

This builds upon the outrageous nature of the first movie and takes it to a new level. With more nut ball schemes, goofy jokes and CGI cars. This continues the powerful story of Brian O'Connor, a man left broken after the first movie where he risked it all. Why this movie really is considered a gem in my book is with the addition of Tyrese Gibson as Rome. He is the ultimate tough guy, even dominating Vin Diesel. He spews out classic lines like, "We hoongry" and "CRAZY-ASS WHITE BOY!" This entry in the series actually doesn't try to be serious, it only want to be fun. Therefore, mission accomplished.

What do we have here? More fast cars, more badass action and races, more beautiful women, more hip-hop, more Paul Walker. Anything you miss like, let's say, Vin Diesel? No way!
