Rotten: In telling the story of a secret Fight Club-style drinking competition that literally takes place beneath Munich's famous Oktoberfest, it hopes to become the ultimate frat-boy beer-drinking cult movie. I don't think it gets there.

Rotten: My best suggestion for people who insist on going to see this immense waste of time? Go drunk.
- Bill Zwecker, Chicago Sun-Times, Friday, August 25, 2006
Rotten: Beerfest is a film that appears to have been conceived on the back of a beermat and its trashy direction, nonexistent plot and dismal comic mugging would seem to suggest that preparations progressed no further.

A fun comedy that doesn't try to trick you into thinking its anything else but a light-hearted story. The plot is completely obvious and ridiculous, but that's kind've why I love it so much. Broken Lizard is always consistent in their quality and making movies for movie-lovers and people that like to enjoy dumb yet smart films.

Just doesn't do it for me, probably Broken Lizard's second best work after Super Troopers. Has some memorable moments.
