A mess. Don't try to make it make sense.

what parents need to know

Parents need to know that this movie is extremely violent, with a lot of intense peril, many character deaths, and graphic wounds. A little girl is in peril and bound and gagged. Characters use extremely bad language, including racial epithets, but the group of good guys is racially diverse. Characters drink and smoke. A character pretends to be gay in order to distract a gay security guard, and there are some mild stereotypes.

what families can talk about

  • Families can talk about how a movie like this may be seen differently now, when the world seems poised on the brink of war, then it might have when the script was written.

Fresh: A perfectly serviceable mindless action film.

- C.W. Nevius, San Francisco Chronicle, Friday, February 28, 2003

Fresh: Youll have to check your brain at the door, but as long as you remember to pick it up on the way out, you should be fine.

- Daniel M. Kimmel, Worcester Telegram & Gazette, Thursday, June 24, 2010

Fresh: In Cradle 2 the Grave, producer Joel Silver returns with gusto to the mix of martial arts action and urban attitude that proved so potent in Romeo Must Die.

This movie is like Rush Hour without the comedy. Good action movie. Jet is a cop from Taiwan who has come to the US to retrieve black diamonds that were stolen from Taiwan. DMX is a thief who robs the diamonds from the baddy, who then kidnaps his daughter. Jet and DMX have to work together to get back what they both want.
