Ehh. Dante's Inferno is pretty decent but it kind of just made me want to play the video game instead. I hadn't read the actual story in over 15 years so the analytical part of my mind that appreciates movies wasn't preset for this viewing. It was watching an anime version of a video game based on a famous literary work. Story, fighting, boss... story, fighting, boss. If you dig the game, the story or anime in general you may have a good time but otherwise I can't really think of a reason for you to go out of your way.

Not too bad a cartoon flick for a one time viewing. Definitely a rental, don't waste money on this ultra violent cartoon detailing Dante's travels through the 9 circles of hell in order to save his beloved from the Devil. Things are getting chopped off everywhere, limbs a flying, blood gouting, souls screaming in torment, fire, Ice, dogs and cats living together...total chaos. Based on the video game of the same name i guess, never played it. This cartoon sure to be a favorite of the verrry tatooed, unemployed yet keep their wallets on a chain, pants on the floor with their hat turned sideways kind of people you see at the video store in the mall.
