I think it's quite interesting, if disturbing at times. I wasn't that drawn to it though.

For those of us who are or have ever been in love, this achingly beautiful romance hits the right notes of delicacy and sensibility about the human need to share our lives with someone who is actually a projection of our own expectations - which does not make these feelings any less real.

What if Pinocchio had been a girl? Or better yet, a woman? Wouldn't she've wanted to be real? Wouldn't you've wanted her to be? Spike Jonze splendid work dares more than that, much more. Beautifully acted and w/o the nearly prerequisite scenes expected of a love story (altho a couple of those are in there too), this one explores the nature of love itself. Take away the eye contact, the hand holding, the shared meals, the kissing, the 101 ways we traditionally define relationship, and what have you? Is there nothing then or ... or is there the possibility for something more? Is love only in our minds? Our imaginations? Our dreams? One of the best films I've ever seen period.
