Rotten: If the onscreen serial killer isn't having fun, how can we?

- Chuck Wilson, Village Voice, Monday, February 10, 2014

Rotten: Director Doug Aarniokoski and co-screenwriter David Loughery fail to infuse the overly familiar elements with the necessary dark humor.

- Frank Scheck, Hollywood Reporter, Friday, February 7, 2014

Rotten: "Nurse 3D" isn't nearly as fun as a movie about a homicidal, sex-obsessed, clothing-averse health care provider ought to be.

Nurse 3-D is somewhat of a throwback to exploitation cinema of yore with its unapologetic blend of sex and violence. Its plot has its forebears in films like Fatal Attraction and Single White Female, but Nurse is much more brutal and insane than either of those films. Alternately erotic and twisted, the film brings loads of nudity, sex, and gore, ramping up to an unforgettable conclusion.

Finally got around to watching Nurse (aka Nurse 3D), and it was one bloody good time. Sure, it's a pretty brainless film that most feminists will despise, mainly due to its blatant sexualization of women. But honestly, where else are you going to watch an alluring lesbian nurse perform psychotic acts of gore, sexual perversion, and obsession? Paz de la Huerta is a blood-soaked goddess in this film, and any horror fans looking for a decent thriller with just the right amount of dark humor and gore can't miss out on this one.

A bit of dumb, senseless, cheesy grindhouse fun flick for Paz De La Huerta never hurt anyone I guess...
