Top Critic Reviews

Rotten: blatantly obvious that the script has nothing to do with the actual Urban Legend series

- Christopher Null, Filmcritic.com, Saturday, June 2, 2007

Rotten: Though it's purportedly the third installment of the ongoing Urban Legends series, Bloody Mary feels more like a half-baked Ring ripoff than anything else.

- David Nusair, Reel Film Reviews, Tuesday, August 9, 2005

Fresh: Just a good enough horror film in spite of all of its flaws, saved by the strong performances of Tina Lifford and cutie patootie Kate Mara...

To me, one of the biggest crimes a horror movie can commit is when it calls itself a sequel or part of a series, but has nothing to do with the original film. This movie does that. And to top it off, it also rips off scenes from several other movies, most famously the tanning bed scene from one of the Final Destination installments. But despite that, this is actually fairly entertaining. I really like Kate Mara, and her appeal lends to the cheesiness of it all. This movie is pretty dumb, but actually kind of enjoyable.
